A great way for UK taxpayers to support real-world conservation

Payroll Giving (also known as ‘Give As You Earn’) is an easy way to donate to your favourite charities. Your donation will come directly from your salary or pension before taxes are deducted. As the donation is deducted before tax, not only do you reduce your tax liability, the overall donation is also cheaper for you – so you can give more for less!

Payroll Giving is the only way to donate to charity that provides full tax relief on whatever you give. While Gift Aid boosts your donation amount by 25%, Payroll Giving can boost it by up to 45% (depending on your tax band), at no extra cost to you!

Download our leaflet to find out how your donations could help PLT.

The cost of Payroll Giving

Your donation is deducted from your salary or pension before any tax is paid, so the actual cost to you will depend on the highest rate of income tax you pay.

Monthly donation received by PLT Cost to a 20% UK taxpayer Cost to a 40% UK taxpayer Cost to a 45% UK taxpayer
£10 £8 £6 £5.50
£25 £20 £15 £13.75
£50 £40 £30 £27.50

It’s simple to set up

If your company already has a Payroll Giving scheme, donating to PLT is simple – all you need to do is tell them you want to donate to us. If they need any more information about PLT, they can contact us directly via natalie@paralatierra.org

Some employers also offer Matched Giving - doubling your donation by matching whatever you give, and making your donation go even further.

If you want to stop or change your donation at any time, you have full control to do that. If you leave your job, your donation will cease – but you can always donate with us again with your new employer.

If your UK employer doesn’t already have a Payroll Giving scheme, it’s easy for them to set one up.

Not employed in the UK? You can still leave a one-time gift here or donate through your salary. However, as tax on charitable donations differs by country, please check your eligibility for claiming a tax credit with your adviser.
